ATX - Astronaut Experience

Imagine yourself at the controls of the space shuttle...feeling the g-forces of spaceflight or preparing for launch at Kennedy Space Center.

Have you ever wanted to train like an astronaut? The Astronaut Training Experience (ATX) program immerses you in the exciting world of today’s astronauts with realistic astronaut training. You will hear first-hand from a veteran NASA astronaut, experience a space shuttle mission simulation and perform hands-on space exploration activities.

Limited availability. Advance reservations required.

All ATX and Family ATX programs are held at the United States Astronaut Hall of Fame®. Guests will not need to come to the Visitor Complex for the program.

ATX Half Day Program

ATX – Half-Day Program

Ages: 14 and older
Price: $145 (plus tax)
ATX focuses on hands-on aspects of astronaut training, including a mission simulation and training simulators. During this exciting half-day of astronaut training, you will hear from veteran NASA astronauts and progress through a mission simulation as you experience what it takes to become a NASA astronaut.

ATX Family

ATX Family - NEW Half Day Program

Ages: 7 and older
Price: $145 (plus tax) 
You and your family will spend a half-day immersed in astronaut training, riding realistic simulators and building and launching your own rockets. You will meet a veteran NASA astronaut and work together to perform a space shuttle mission to the International Space Station in a full-scale orbiter mock-up and fully outfitted mission control.

ATX Team

ATX Team  

Groups of 12 or more
ATX Team is a customized program designed to fit your group’s needs, budget and schedule. They can range from a private four-hour to full-day, once-in-a-lifetime corporate retreat highlighted by an appearance from an astronaut like the caliber of Apollo 13 Commander Jim Lovell or Apollo 11’s Buzz Aldrin.

Due to their interactive nature, Astronaut Training Experience crews are small and advance reservations are required. Call 321-449-4830 to make a reservation.
