What is included with Daily Admission? 

Daily admission to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex includes:

  • Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex® featuring Spaceport KSC

What is NOT included with Daily Admission? 

Add-on enhancements may be purchased in addition to admission. Tickets for the following add-on enhancements may be purchased at the visitor complex or online: Chat With An Astronaut, Astronaut Training Experience® (ATX) and ATX Training Stages. Advance online purchase of add-on enhancements is recommended as they may sell out through online ticket purchases before the scheduled date. 

What is the advantage of purchasing tickets online before my visit? 

Tickets may be purchased before your visit on our Tickets page. However, ticket prices are the same whether purchased online or in person. Ticket purchases are date specific and not transferable between days. Tickets may be printed at home, pulled up on your mobile device or picked up at Will Call at the entrance to the visitor complex. Visitors that have a ticket with a barcode (digitally or print) may proceed directly to the turnstiles at the entrance. 

 

How long does it take to see and do everything at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex?  

This full-day experience requires a minimum of eight hours, not including travel time, to enjoy all attractions at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. For add-on enhancements, in addition to all exhibits, attractions and films, such as Special Interest Bus Tours and Dine With An Astronaut, we recommend a Multiday Admission or annual pass. Arrive at the 9 am opening time to make the most of your visit. The last KSC Bus Tour departs from the visitor complex 2.5 hours before closing time. Please note that tour availability and routes may be altered at any time due to operational requirements. Multiple bus tours are not recommended. Plan Your Visit

A parking fee must be paid before entering the parking area.

Is transportation available from Orlando to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex?

The visitor complex does not provide transportation to and from Orlando. For suggestions regarding Orlando transportation options, please call the reservation office at 1.866.737.5235. Gray Line Orlando and Florida Dolphin Tours offer bus tours from Orlando only.

Can I bring in my own food or beverages?

Food and beverages packed in small, soft-sided coolers are permitted. Glass bottles or containers are not permitted. Beer is for sale at select locations and no outside alcoholic beverages are permitted. For security, all bags are subject to search.

Are weapons allowed inside the visitor complex?

No weapons of any kind are permitted inside Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, including those belonging to off-duty law enforcement. Please leave items secured within your vehicle to expedite your entry into the visitor complex. 

What will I see on the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour? 

The Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour is the only way to access the restricted areas of America’s multi-user spaceport, Kennedy Space Center. The tour includes a drive-by of the Vehicle Assembly Building and other operational facilities. All bus tours conclude at the Apollo/Saturn V Center, featuring an actual Saturn V moon rocket and real moon rocks along with other Apollo program artifacts and attractions. The bus tour and Apollo/Saturn V Center are included in daily admission to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Please allow at least two hours for the full bus tour, the visit to the Apollo/Saturn V Center and the return bus ride back to the main visitor complex. Frequent shuttle buses return visitors to the main complex. Multiple bus tours are not recommended, such as a full bus tour and Special Interest Tours (once available). Will I see genuine spacecraft on display?

Kennedy Space Center is home to many real historic and current space exploration vehicles, including the actual space shuttle Atlantis, a Saturn V Moon rocket, the Apollo 14 Kitty Hawk capsule in Apollo Treasures Gallery, the Mercury Sigma 7 capsule and the Gemini 9 capsule in Heroes & Legends and the many rockets in the Rocket Garden. The new Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex® also houses numerous genuine spacecraft.


How can I see a rocket launch?

The visitor complex offers the closest available public viewing opportunities for rocket launches lifting off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and Kennedy Space Center. Learn how to see a launch and check the launch calendar to see all upcoming, confirmed launches. Please note that the launch date, time, and viewing opportunities are subject to approval by NASA or the U.S. Space Force based on safety requirements. Launch schedules can be affected by technical and mechanical issues as well as range operations and weather, either in advance or at the last minute. We do not schedule rocket launches, nor are we responsible for delays or scrubs.

Why is there a charge for admission? Aren’t these artifacts funded by U.S. taxpayers?

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is operated for NASA by contractor Delaware North. The complex is supported entirely by revenue generated from parking, admission, food service and merchandise. The complex does not receive any government funding from U.S. tax dollars. The ongoing stewardship of priceless NASA artifacts on display at the visitor complex, as well as its ongoing operation, development and maintenance, are funded solely by visitor-generated revenue. As a Smithsonian Affiliate, the visitor complex participates in a certified outreach program that allows venues across the country to share Smithsonian collections. We have 50 objects on long-term loan from the National Air and Space Museum, including items in the Treasures Gallery at Apollo/Saturn V Center.

A member of my group may need special assistance. Where can I pick up a Guest Accessibility Pass?

The Guest Accessibility Pass (GAP) helps our crewmembers know you and your family/group may require assistance with sensory sensitivities while at the visitor complex. It can be picked up at the Information center, to the left of the main entrance. While the GAP will not guarantee immediate or priority bus/attraction entrance, it will help you obtain assistance from staff should you need it.

Are wheelchairs, Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECV), strollers or double strollers available for rent?

Wheelchairs, Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECV), strollers and double strollers are available for rent online and at the visitor complex. Rentals for a full day are as follows:

  • Wheelchairs: $10 plus tax
  • ECVs, or scooters: $30 plus tax
  • Strollers: $8 plus tax
  • Double Strollers: $10 plus tax

Please note that when renting an ECV, guests must sign a rental agreement. The agreement includes contact information and the acknowledgement that the renter understands how to operate the vehicle. These are equipped with a chair for one person only and young children may not operate the vehicle.


Are animals allowed in the visitor complex?

All animals that qualify as service animals are welcome at the visitor complex. A service animal is defined as a dog or miniature horse that is trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. Guests who use service animals must retain control of their animals at all times. View the park map during your visit for dog walking locations throughout the park. For guests with pets, the visitor complex offers a free on-site, air-conditioned pet kennel. Learn more about the pet kennel before your visit.

What does a “Phase 2” for inclement weather mean?

You may hear the visitor complex call a “Phase 2,” meaning lightning is present or imminent in the immediate area. In the event of inclement weather at the visitor complex, including cloud to ground lightning, all guests will be asked to seek shelter or remain indoors until the storm passes. For your safety, please respect all weather warnings and the recommendations of our associates while touring the visitor complex.

What is the best way to dress for a visit to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex?

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is a family-friendly environment. Proper attire, which includes a shirt and shoes, is required for admittance. We ask that guests refrain from the following attire:

  • Clothing with objectionable material, including obscene language or graphics
  • Clothing that exposes tattoos depicting obscene or objectionable content
  • Clothing that exposes inappropriate portions of skin or areas of the body
  • Masks worn by any age, unless for medical purposes

Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines or cannot modify their clothing may be refused entry into and/or removed from Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.


What will the new admission options for Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex be?

With the addition of several new attractions over the past few years, more and more guests schedule two days for their visit. To accommodate the larger footprint, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is introducing a new, two-day ticket which will make it possible for guests to visit for less than $45 a day starting June 2022. Also, two-day passes will be available for $89 per adult and $79 per child. Single-day admission will be $75 per adult, $65 per child. The new Atlantis Annual Pass will range from $120-$149.


Are there discounts on admission available to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex?

Yes, there are special offers and promotional programs offered periodically throughout the year and year-round. Senior, Military, and Military Child discounts are available for admission. Our annual Salute to Brevard will take place in October, which extends Brevard County residents a discount on admission tickets for up to 6 people. A military discount day has been added for Armed Forces Day.
