Cooks: Candidate must be a High school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years experience in a similar, high volume restaurant kitchen or American Culinary Federation certification required. Must be familiar with many food items, including sauces as well as the primary ingredients used in most dishes, able to work with speed, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and familiarity with proper food service, food preparation, and kitchen sanitation practice required. Candidate must be able to safely use all kitchen resources including food processors, grill, ovens, knives, food processor, etc. Candidate must pass a prequalifying written test during interview process with a minimum of 70% and obtain 70 % or higher on the practical test to demonstrate basic recipe, food prep, and sanitation knowledge. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, Food Handler Certification and obtain ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification within 90 days of employment. The PHYSICAL DEMANDS require lifting and carrying or manipulating of materials and equipment weighing up 5 pounds up to 70% of the day and up to 35 pounds up to 10% of the day. Requires bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, stooping, pushing, pulling and reaching.
