Inspire young imaginations with Salute to Science, an interactive educational experience at the world’s busiest spaceport. Salute to Science is a fun, educational, team-building experience that makes the most of your day at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex with a combination of a guided program from the on-site education team and time to explore on your own.

During Salute to Science, students:

  • Attend a private briefing to learn about important science concepts related to space exploration
  • Enjoy a private presentation with a veteran NASA astronaut
  • Engage in a hands-on, minds-on Team Engineering Challenge
  • Get a full-access ticket to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, which includes special activities, Space Shuttle Atlantis® and Shuttle Launch Experience®, Heroes & Legends, 3D IMAX® space films, the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour, plus all shows and exhibits.

Salute to Science runs from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm and includes lunch.  Private dates and events available by reservation for groups of 30 or more. It is a great opportunity for students to learn authentic and hands-on STEM education outside of the classroom and home.

A special Homeschool and Family Salute to Science is scheduled for October 29. This exclusive Salute to Science is open to homeschoolers and individual families wanting to participate in the program but with no group requirements. However, the program is specifically designed for 5-9th graders.
