Relive the excitement of 1969 and look ahead to humanity’s next era of lunar exploration during Moon Festival 2026.
Moon Festival at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex began as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11—the mission that first carried Americans to the lunar surface. While that legendary moment still inspires us, this year, we also celebrate NASA’s Artemis II mission and its historic lunar flyby.
Join us for a weekend of immersive experiences, vintage vibes, and bold visions of what’s next. From the triumphs of 1969 to the missions shaping our future, Moon Festival brings generations of “Moon Joy” together.
Weekend Highlights:
- Vintage Photo Ops: Capture the moment in your best vintage attire with themed photo stations throughout the complex
- Live Performances: Enjoy music by The Vocalitas, a swing-era and mid-century acappella group
- Interactive Activities in Atlantis: Create your own Orion splashdown capsule, design tin foil hats, and color your way through space history
- Lunar Rover Photo Ops: Snap a picture with the lunar rover at the Apollo/Saturn V Center
- Comedy with Astro & Orbit: Catch this space-themed duo at the People’s Moon installation multiple times during the day
- Apollo to Artemis Presentations: Listen to expert-led talks on NASA’s Artemis Campaign and our return to the Moon at 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm
- Salute to America pyrotechnics show on Friday and Saturday night
From Apollo to Artemis, explore the milestones that brought us here — and the missions that will take us further.
