Discover how local businesses and conservation organizations are shaping a greener future! During Mission: Blue Marble, dive into interactive exhibits, meet local experts, and learn how sustainability is a part of everyday operations across our community.

You can also participate in hands-on educational activities for all ages, including a scavenger hunt and butterfly releases in the Rocket Garden, throughout the day. Plus, don’t miss dynamic presentations from subject matter experts inside Journey To Mars at 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM.

PRESENTERS:

2:00 PM: Katherine Zeringue
Katherine Zeringue has served as NASA’s agency archaeologist, as well as the cultural resources manager at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, since 2022. Zeringue oversees the center’s historic resources, from buildings to historic districts to archaeological sites. She will be presenting at the Journey to Mars Theater on the “Historic Preservation at NASA: Saving Places and the Planet”.

3:30 PM: Tim Kozusko
Tim Kozusko, ecologist with 25 years of experience in his field and nearly 100 prescribed fires at the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, will be presenting prescribed burns and their benefits for the local environment. Kozusko, a Cocoa Beach native, is a member of the board of directors for the Merritt Island Wildlife Association.

It’s an inspiring day of discovery, connection, and environmental stewardship you won’t want to miss, and it is all included with admission.
