Solar Tree Commemoration Event with Florida Power & Light

Nov 28, 2018 10:00 AM Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

Large solar trees are some of the newest additions to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, scattered throughout the exhibits and attractions. These trees, created by Florida Power & Light (FPL) as a part of their SolarNow program, provide shade and generate clean and emission-free energy with no fuel, such as oil or natural gas. Plus, the energy generated from these solar trees benefits the entire community!

On November 28, 2018 at 10:00 AM, welcome the addition of these solar trees at the visitor complex at a commemoration event. The ceremony will be held outside the Dr. Kurt H. Debus Conference Facility, located behind Heroes & Legends near the Rocket Garden. There will be food and activities for all ages, and the ceremony is included with daily admission. See you there!

The large solar trees are new additions at the Kennedy Space Center, and can be seen at multiple locations, such as near the Rocket Garden.
