What’s Up on Mars | Presentation with a “Professional Martian”

On December 28 and 29, hear what our human-built robots are up to on the Red Planet from Dr. Tanya Harrison, a “Professional Martian.” She has worked in science and mission operations on multiple NASA Mars missions over the past decade. She was previously the Director of Research for Arizona State University’s Space Technology and Science (“NewSpace”) Initiative where she was a science team collaborator on the Mars Exploration Rover (MER), Opportunity and the upcoming Mars 2020 sample-caching rover.

Dr. Harrison will present “What’s Up on Mars” at 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM in Journey to Mars: Explorers Wanted. This event is included with daily admission and is open to all guests.

More About Dr. Tanya Harrison

Dr. Harrison holds a Ph.D. in Geology with a Specialization in Planetary Science and Exploration from the University of Western Ontario, a Masters in Earth and Environmental Science from Wesleyan University, and a B.Sc. in Astronomy and Physics from the University of Washington.
