UPDATE January 27, 6:30 PM: SpaceX is now targeting Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 9:06 AM for the 3rd launch of SpaceX Starlink.


MISSION

This is the 3rd launch of SpaceX Starlink, a constellation of networked satellites. The goal of Starlink is to create a network that will help provide internet services to those who are not yet connected, and to provide reliable and affordable internet across the globe.


LAUNCH VIEWING

Launch viewing for Starlink is available at the following location:

Main visitor complex

  • Approximately 6.7 miles/10.8 kilometers from launch pad
  • Included with daily admission
  • Bleacher seating and launch commentary with access to restrooms.
  • Dining and souvenirs available for purchase.
  • BUY ADMISSION

Arrive Early!

Be sure to arrive early and prepare for increased attendance and traffic on launch days. The visitor complex will open at 8:00 AM for launch viewing. All viewing locations and the available bleacher seating are first come, first served. Learn more about our Launch Scrub Policy.


After arriving and parking at the visitor complex:

Main visitor complex viewing/daily admission:

  • Viewing from the main visitor complex does not require bus transportation. The North Atlantis Lawn will open at 8:00 AM with live launch commentary and video feed.
  • Check the Daily Schedule regarding the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour hours of operation on a launch day. If you wish to include the bus tour and the Apollo/ Saturn V Center in your day, be sure to take the tour after the launch.

Availability of upcoming viewing opportunities is dependent upon the scheduled launch time and is subject to NASA and U.S. Air Force approval. Launch date, time, and viewing opportunities are subject to change. Launches can be affected by technical and mechanical issues as well as range operations and weather, either in advance or at the last minute.
