Crew Dragon Splashdown | Astronauts Hopkins, Glover, Walker and Noguchi Homecoming

May 02, 2021 02:57 AM

UPDATE: NASA and SpaceX are now targeting Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 2:57 AM ET for the Crew-1 astronaut's splashdown.

Due to Crew-1 Splashdown being currently scheduled outside of operating hours, the visitor complex will no longer host this event. Guests who are interested in the launch lithograph can receive one at Information while supplies last.

Please note that similar to rocket launches, the scheduled splashdown date, time and viewing opportunities are subject to change. As NASA continues to monitor the weather, visit this page or our Facebook page for updates. The splashdown time can be affected by technical and mechanical issues as well weather, either in advance or at the last minute.

As part of our commitment to creating a Trusted Space for our guests and employees, measures and procedures are in place including limiting attendance, requiring face coverings and temperature checks, accommodating social distancing and increasing the frequency of sanitization. SpaceX’s Crew Dragon is guided by four parachutes as it approaches splashdown in the Atlantic Ocean about 200 miles off Florida’s east coast on March 8, 2019, after returning from the International Space Station on the Demo-1 mission.
