UPDATE October 19, 2021 - NASA's Commercial Crew Program has announced a new date for Crew-3: Sunday, October 31, 2021 2:21 AM EDT. Please see below for adjusted arrival information.

 

MISSION

NASA’s SpaceX Crew-3 mission will launch four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS). This launch will be the third crew rotation mission to the ISS as part of NASA's Commercial Crew Program.


LAUNCH VIEWING

Launch Viewing Packages are now available online!  

The launch window for Crew-3 is outside normal visitor complex operating hours, so launch viewing packages are only available for Feel the Heat at the Apollo/Saturn V Center and Feel the Fun at the Atlantis North Lawn.  Please note that this launch takes place in the early hours of Sunday, October 31, so package holders should prepare for the launch Saturday night. The visitor complex will open at 11:15 PM for Crew-3 launch viewing package holders only. 

By purchasing a package, you understand that all launch viewing packages are mission-specific. Packages are also non-refundable and non-transferable.

Feel The Heat Launch Viewing Package

Get as close to the launch pad as possible. From here, you will see the rocket leave the pad from across the Banana Creek! Plus, gain exclusive access to the Apollo/Saturn V Center exhibits and attractions.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 

  • Bus boarding for Feel the Heat begins at 11:30 PM (in the evening of October 30th) and ends by 1:30 AM (October 31st). To ensure your bus transportation to the viewing site, plan to arrive by 12:30 AM at the latest and plan for increased traffic.  
  • Your first admission of your launch viewing package is valid for visitor complex entry all day on October 31st. If you can, return to the visitor complex after the launch during normal operations to explore the rest of our attractions! 
  • Launch viewing packages support two launch attempts and a 2nd daily admission ticket included in each package is valid to use within 30 days after the launch date. Launch viewing packages are for all ages.  
  • Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is not responsible for the launch’s status or schedule.

Feel The Fun Launch Viewing Package 

Atlantis North Lawn viewing is perfect for the entire family, with entertaining activities as you prepare for the launch attempt. From here, you will see the launch as soon as the rocket clears the tree line.  

WHERE: Atlantis North Lawn, to the left when approaching Space Shuttle Atlantis
DISTANCE: Approximately 6.7 miles/ 10.8 kilometers from the launch pad   
PRICE: $149 plus tax, available online only 
CHECK IN: Begins at 12:30 AM, the morning of Sunday, October 31st
