Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex takes you behind the scenes and into NASA’s Launch Control Center, the control center for NASA’s space shuttle program and future control center for deep space exploration vehicle, the Space Launch System (SLS). Go inside the Launch Control Center and tour Firing Room 4, the room from which the last 21 space shuttle missions were launched, including Atlantis’ final flight, STS-135. More than 150 Apollo and space shuttle launches were performed form the Launch Control Center’s four firing rooms.

Tour Stops Include:

  • Launch Control Center
  • Firing Room 4
  • Drive by pad 39A (SpaceX) and pad 39B, where NASA is preparing to launch SLS as early as 2018.
  • Apollo/Saturn V Center, the home of one of three remaining Saturn V moon rockets and exhibits dedicated to the Apollo program. Explore at your own pace and return to the main visitor complex by shuttle bus.

Throughout the tour, your guide will point out historical landmarks and give you real time updates on what’s happening at Kennedy Space Center. You’ll also be surrounded by the natural beauty of the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, home to more than 500 species of birds and animals.

Tour Length: 2 hours, not including time spent at Apollo/Saturn V Center
