In preparation for our new, next-generation attraction, Heroes and Legends, featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame®, the existing U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, currently located six miles to the west of the Visitor Complex, will close permanently to guests on Nov. 2, 2015.
Heroes and Legends will not only bring to life the enthralling stories of America’s pioneering astronauts, but also immerse you in the thrills and dangers of America’s earliest missions through high-tech elements and special effects. The new U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame will serve as the culminating element of the attraction, inviting you to interact virtually with nearly 100 astronaut heroes inducted to date. Heroes and Legends broke ground in May 2015 and is expected to open in late 2016 at its new location just inside the entrance to the Visitor Complex.
Thank you for your patronage and support as we continue to expand and enhance the guest experience at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and tell the NASA Story in exciting and compelling new ways.
