Colonel Mark Brown served distinguished careers as a U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, engineer, NASA astronaut on two significant missions, corporate executive, and aerospace consultant.

Following a 20-year career as a pilot with the U.S. Air Force, Col. Brown joined NASA’s Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston as an engineer in 1980, contributing to the development of the space shuttle program. Selected as an astronaut in 1984, he flew on two significant missions: Columbia in 1989 and Discovery in 1991. He later went on to serve as the senior astronaut on the International Space Station program until his retirement from NASA in 1993.

Col. Brown worked in the aerospace industry for another 20 years, holding increasing roles of corporate responsibility, including President and COO of MTC Technologies. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Air Force Museum Foundation in Dayton, Ohio. Currently, Col. Brown is an active member of the Association of Space Explorers, an international organization of over 400 astronauts and cosmonauts from 37 different countries. He continues to share his vast knowledge and experience as an aerospace consultant and speaker.
