地球を優先する｜ザ・ビジター・コンプレックスのグリーンパス

ケネディ宇宙センターの環境保護チームは、環境保護のために何をしているかという質問をよく受けます。1日に何千人ものゲストが訪れるため、小さな取り組みが大きな影響を与える可能性があります！NASAのケネディ宇宙センターは、140,000エーカーの保護区であるメリット島国立野生生物保護区内にあります。デラウェア・ノース社が運営するケネディスペースセンター・ビジターコンプレックスは、NASAと協力し、私たちの故郷である地球を保護し、尊重するために活動しています。デラウェア・ノースの "グリーンパス "プログラムは、美しい環境に対する人間の足跡を減らすのに役立っています。

使い捨てプラスチックの削減

If you want a straw or lid, just ask! The straws are bio-based, not paper, so they will last all day but still are biodegradable. Similarly, food plates, bowls, and trays in our cafes are made from recycled pulp, and the cutlery and to-go lids are bio-based as well. The bags provided in our retail shops for your NASA gear are made of bio-based plastic and soy ink, so they are biodegradable. You can also purchase a recycled bag from our retail shops that are made from 100% post-consumer plastic bottles.

 

野生生物の保護

The Apollo/Saturn V Center has LED lighting. All outdoor lighting is LED and meets the Fish and Wildlife sea turtle-compliant requirements. As another way to protect the wildlife, we highly encourage guests to refrain from feeding the wildlife they encounter at the visitor complex, and we have safe deflectors to discourage birds from joining guests around the cafes.

 

リサイクルする！

Plastic bottles, cardboard, aluminum cans and non-food contaminated paper is collected and recycled in the single stream containers. We also recycle shredded paper, toner cartridges, batteries, lamps, metal, wood, concrete, and tires.

ケネディスペースセンター・ビジターコンプレックスが地球を守るために行っているその他の活動：

• オービット・カフェには、廃棄物を土状にする食品消化装置がある。廃棄物を元の量の1/10に減らし、埋立地を少なくする。
• フライヤーから出る使用済み食用油は回収し、リサイクルしている。
• 厨房や従業員から回収したプラスチック製のパンタブは、「Danielle Cares for Chairs」に寄付しています。また、不要になったプラスチック製の宇宙飛行士訓練体験^®バッジもリサイクルしています。
• Electric low-speed vehicles are used around the park as an alternative to driving gasoline vehicles. Additionally, the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour buses are being replaced with new, clean diesel buses.
• アトランティス・ノース・ローンの打ち上げ観戦エリアとムーンツリー・ガーデンに敷かれている人工芝は、バイオベースの素材から作られている。
• フロリダ・パワー＆ライト社との提携により、複合施設内には5本のソーラーツリーが "植栽 "されている。発電されたエネルギーは複合施設の電力網に戻される。
• 返却されたSmartGuideヘッドホンはすべてリサイクルされます。

• When disposing of your leftover food, plates, and cutlery in our cafes, please place your waste in the appropriate trash bins.
• Always recycle your plastic bottles in our recycling bins around the park. You can also recycle your used visitor complex map as you exit the park. You can also save a map and download our app!
• 決して野生動物に餌を与えないでください！動物たちが攻撃的にならないよう、保護にご協力ください。
• 水筒をご持参ください。コンプレックス内のいたるところに補給ステーションがあります。また、お土産用のカップを購入すれば、一日中補充することができます。
• Purchase a recycled bag from a retail store to use even after you leave the visitor complex.
