Reservation Information:

  • The program begins at 4:00 PM and runs until about 10:00 PM

First, you’ll become a member of the next generation of space explorers. You and your team will train for a mission to Mars, practicing docking skills, navigating challenging terrain, and experiencing the sensation of a spacewalk in a microgravity environment using exciting, immersive simulation technology. Navigate the Martian surface! This full-motion simulator will place you in the Commander or Pilot seats where you hone your skills and drive over the rough Martian terrain.

All ATX Training Stages are perfect for guests looking to kick off their space exploration training during their visit without doing the full Astronaut Training Experience program.

Please note: ATX Training Stages are not offered year-round. Due to limited capacities, availability is limited on a first-come, first-served basis. Requirements for all ATX Training Stages:

  • ATX Training Stages must be purchased in addition to admission.
  • All ATX Training Stages are for individuals and groups ages 10 and older. Trainees that are aged 10 – 17 will require a paying, participating adult.
  • Allow 30 minutes in your day for your ATX Training Stage.
  • The program is presented in English both verbally and in text, so English fluency is required.
  • The minimum height for this simulator is 51 inches/1.3 meters tall.

 

Health and Safety Restrictions for ATX Training Stages:

  • Wheelchair Accessibility –
    • Astronaut Training Experience (ATX): Guests must be able to transfer on their own into the simulators.
    • Lander/Rover Simulator: Guests must be able to walk upstairs or a ramp to the experience, step down/up into the Rover.
    • Microgravity Simulator: Guests must be able to step over a raised safety feature surrounding the simulator.
  • All Astronaut Training Experience Center simulators –
    • For safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, or other conditions that could be aggravated by this experience.
    • Maximum weight for all simulators is 275 pounds/127 kilograms.
    • Expectant mothers should not participate. Guests must wear closed-toed shoes to participate.
    • Due to the nature of the simulators, guests should be cautious when wearing dresses/skirts in the program.
    • Guests of a certain body type may not be able to ride.
    • Closed-toe shoes are required.
  • Lander/Rover Simulator –
    • Those who have had recent surgery or injury should not ride. Guests must be able to safely fit in the seat and restraint system.

Begin Training

All ATX Training Stages are perfect for guests looking to kick off their space exploration training during their visit without doing the full Astronaut Training Experience program.

Please note: ATX Training Stages are not offered year-round. Due to limited capacities, availability is limited on a first-come, first-served basis. Requirements for all ATX Training Stages:

  • ATX Training Stages must be purchased in addition to admission.
  • All ATX Training Stages are for individuals and groups ages 10 and older. Trainees that are aged 10 – 17 will require a paying, participating adult.
  • Allow 30 minutes in your day for your ATX Training Stage.
  • The program is presented in English both verbally and in text, so English fluency is required.

 

Health and Safety Restrictions for ATX Training Stages:

  • Wheelchair Accessibility –
    • Astronaut Training Experience (ATX): Guests must be able to transfer on their own into the simulators.
    • Lander/Rover Simulator: Guests must be able to walk upstairs or a ramp to the experience, step down/up into the Rover.
    • Microgravity Simulator: Guests must be able to step over a raised safety feature surrounding the simulator.
  • All Astronaut Training Experience Center simulators –
    • For safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, or other conditions that could be aggravated by this experience.
    • Maximum weight for all simulators is 275 pounds/127 kilograms.
    • Expectant mothers should not participate. Guests must wear closed-toed shoes to participate.
    • Due to the nature of the simulators, guests should be cautious when wearing dresses/skirts in the program.
    • Guests of a certain body type may not be able to ride.
    • Closed-toe shoes are required.
  • Walk on Mars Virtual Reality
    • If you experience seizures, loss of awareness, eye strain, altered vision or other visual abnormalities, dizziness, disorientation, or any symptom related to motion sickness, you should not participate. Guests who have pre-existing binocular vision abnormalities should not participate.
