The world has seen Scott Kelly’s breathtaking images from the International Space Station, and now during his appearance, hear exactly what life is like as an astronaut straight from the source. On June 5, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Rocket Garden, astronaut Scott Kelly will help Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex launch Summer of Mars. Kelly will captivate guests with a first-hand account of living aboard the ISS, and how his contributions to ongoing research are essential in understanding human adaptation in the harsh environment of space.

ABOUT SCOTT KELLY

Scott Kelly completed four space flights and served as Commander aboard the International Space Station on three expeditions. In 2015, Kelly began a year-long mission aboard the International Space Station. The purpose of this mission was to learn how the body reacts and adapts to prolonged habitation in space. That research is critical in assisting scientists and engineers in preparation for future human exploration of Mars. Kelly retired from NASA in 2016 after his return to Earth.
