The Mars Rover concept vehicle, designed for navigating the demanding landscape of Mars, is the newest attraction during Summer of Mars

Based on NASA science, it functions as both a working vehicle and laboratory. The next generation of space explorers could be traveling and working in a high-tech mobile lab similar to one. It features life support systems, navigation and communication systems, and design and materials that relate to conditions and resources on Mars.

This Rover is an impressive size, and has massive wheels designed to travel over dunes, rocks and craters. Be sure to get up close to this extraordinary machine during its stay at the visitor complex through June 30, 2017. The Mars Rover concept vehicle will go on tour up the east coast tour in mid-July before returning back to the visitor complex in August.

Learn more about the Rover’s tour as details become available.
