MISSION

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch Transporter-3, a mission comprised of numerous small microsatellites and nanosatellites for commercial and government customers headed for a sun-synchronous orbit.


LAUNCH VIEWING

Hear the rumble with daily admission at either of the following locations:

 

Atlantis North Lawn Viewing Area
Located to the left when approaching Space Shuttle Atlantis®

  • Approximately 6.7 miles/10.8 kilometers from launch pad
  • Viewing area opens at 9:15 AM
  • See the rocket once it clears the tree line
  • Included with daily admission
  • Bleacher seating with live launch commentary and video feed

 

Banana Creek Launch Viewing Area at the Apollo/Saturn V Center
With a bus transportation reservation*

  • Approximately 6.2 miles/10 kilometers from launch pad
  • Viewing area opens at 9:15 AM
  • See the rocket leave the launch pad
  • Included with daily admission
  • Bleacher seating with live launch commentary and video feed

*Bus transportation reservations must be made upon arrival to the visitor complex and are available on a first come, first served basis. Reservations must be made for either 9:15 AM, 9:30 AM or 9:45 AM in order to arrive at the launch viewing site on time. Follow in-park instructions at the front entrance the morning of the launch.

Availability of upcoming viewing opportunities is dependent upon the scheduled launch time and is subject to NASA and U.S. Space Force approval. Launch date, time, and viewing opportunities are subject to change. Launches can be affected by technical and mechanical issues as well as range operations and weather, either in advance or at the last minute.
