MISSION:

SpaceX's Starlink is the constellation of networked satellites aimed to provide internet services to those who are not yet connected, and to provide reliable and affordable internet across the globe. The launch window opens at 4:01 PM ET and concludes at 7:49 PM ET. 

The Falcon 9's booster will land on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.

  • Approximately 6.2 miles / 10 kilometers from the launch pad
  • Included with admission to visitor complex
  • Viewing area opens at 2:30 PM
  • Accessible via the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour on a first come basis
  • Launch video, audio and communicator commentary available
  • Banana Creek Launch Viewing Area will remain open until 5:15 PM. If the launch has not occurred by 5:15 PM, the viewing area will close to guests due to the window extending beyond visitor complex operating hours.

Located to the left when approaching Space Shuttle Atlantis®

 

  • See the rocket once it clears the tree line
  • Approximately 6.7 miles / 10.8 kilometers from the launch pad
  • Viewing area opens at 2:30 PM
  • Included with admission to visitor complex
  • Launch audio, video, and communicator commentary available
  • Atlantis North Lawn Launch Viewing Area will remain open until 6:45 PM. If the launch has not occurred by 6:45 PM, the viewing area will close to guests due to the window extending beyond visitor complex operating hours.
