MISSION:

On August 25, 2017, Orbital ATK launches a Minotaur IV rocket. The rocket carries the ORS-5 satellite for the United States Air Force, designed to help track objects in geosynchronous orbit by scanning for other satellites and debris.

LAUNCH VIEWING:

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex offers the closest public viewing of launches with the purchase of a launch transportation/viewing ticket. Availability of viewing opportunities and locations is dependent upon the scheduled launch time and is subject to NASA and U.S. Air Force approval.

 

As the launch time is substantially outside the visitor complex’s operating hours, no viewing opportunities are available at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
