Meet An Astronaut

This experience is unavailable to ensure the health and safety of our guests and crewmembers from COVID-19 (coronavirus). To keep up to date on its reopening, follow us on social media or subscribe to our email newsletter.

Each day at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, visitors get the rare opportunity to meet veteran NASA astronauts. During Astronaut Encounter, commanders, pilots, mission and payload specialists who have lived and worked in space share their experiences during a live presentation and question & answer session. Your Astronaut Encounter involves personally shaking hands and taking a photo with one of the few who have traveled to space. You may also visit the Astronaut of the Day at The Space Shop for his or her autograph.

Please check the Daily Schedule upon arrival for show times and autograph opportunities. You may also visit the Event Calendar to see who is the Astronaut of the Day on the date of your visit. This presentation is located in Universe Theater, presented by Northrop Grumman.
