Atlantis: A 10th Anniversary Return Home CelebrationJul 08, 2021 02:00 PM Space Shuttle Atlantis
Celebrate space shuttle Atlantis’ 10th anniversary of her last flight, STS-135, on July 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM. It has been 10 years since Atlantis began her new mission of continued education and inspiration from right here at Kennedy Space Center. In celebration of this milestone, join us for this star-studded event!
Hear firsthand mission memories from astronauts who flew on Atlantis. During this live, in-person presentation underneath the orbiter, the astronauts will answer pre-submitted questions from YOU as part of the discussion. Starting now, submit your questions on our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #Atlantis10. We will choose a selection of questions at random for the astronauts to answer.
Help us welcome the following veteran NASA astronauts back to the visitor complex!
Chris Ferguson (STS-135)
William “Bill” Shepherd (STS-27 and U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame member)
Norman Thagard (STS-30 and U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame member)
Nicole Stott (the last station crew member to return to Earth via a space shuttle, Atlantis, on STS-129)
Rex Walheim (STS-135)
Sandy Magnus (STS-135)
Our special guests will not be able to participate in an autograph session for this event. Instead, take a once-in-a-lifetime “socially distant” #selfie with the astronauts and space shuttle Atlantis after the presentation. As you explore Space Shuttle Atlantis®, you'll also find additional artifacts flown aboard the orbiter during her career, seen only here from NASA’s archives. Plus, pose with a unique balloon photo opportunity and sign a celebratory banner to commemorate the anniversary.
Plan your visit now by purchasing your daily admission tickets to the visitor complex ahead of time.
