On Tuesday, September 14 at The Space Shop, Ron Garan, a veteran NASA astronaut, is signing copies of his new books from 2 - 4 PM.
Ron Garan is the author of the 2015 critically acclaimed book, The Orbital Perspective: Lessons in Seeing the Big Picture from a Journey of 71 Million Miles. He has followed up with two new books in 2021, Floating in Darkness: A Journey of Evolution and a children's book, Railroad to the Moon. Limited copies are available for purchase and signings.
Now is a great time to get a unique holiday gift or just something for your personal collection.
Stop by the second floor of the retail store from 2:00 – 4:00 PM to have your copy autographed by Garan. A limited quantity of books will be available for purchase. In an effort to ensure everyone has the opportunity to get his or her book signed during this special visit, there are a few guidelines for the autograph session:
- Only Ron Garan’s books and portraits will be signed (no other memorabilia, etc.).
- Candid photos are welcomed, but you will not be able to stand behind the table for posed photos.
- Please observe social distancing guidelines.
The autograph opportunity is included with daily admission.
About Ron Garan
Ron Garan is a former NASA astronaut, who flew on STS-124, space shuttle Discovery in 2008, and was a member of Expedition 27/28 during a six-month mission on the International Space Station. Prior to joining NASA, Garan served in the U.S. Air Force, eventually becoming a test pilot. Following his tenure with the U.S. Air Force and NASA, Garan, working to provide clean water in Kenya and Rwanda, founded Manna Energy, Limited. He worked with the US Agency for International Development for humanitarian missions. Garan is currently working in the commercial space industry.
